GI Index Diet
It’s weird but the media seems to finally be picking up on a “new diet craze” which we’ve been blogging about and reading about for ages. Anyways, the diet is the GI Index Diet. GI stands for glycemic index and celebs such as Bill Clinton, Kim Cattrall and Naomi Campbell reportedly follow.
The idea is that there’s “good” and “bad” carbs and you need to control how many bad carbs you eat. It’s not as hard to follow as the Atkins Diet either.

There are no “good” or “bad” carbs. This is not the way to think about it. Rather choose carbs with a low GI when possible. High GI carbs can still be eaten in a meal as long as it is offset by a low. For example, lentils (GI=30) + white potato (GI=80)/2 = 55. The meal is still low GI.
