Vegan diet
This diet has been gaining popularity with vegetarians who think that abstaining from meat isn’t enough. Not only do vegans not eat meat, but they also refrain from using animal byproducts, such as eggs, dairy products, honey, fur and soaps derived from animal products.
Living with this diet and surviving in style may be a feat in itself, but with enough know-how about the vegan lifestyle and some good recipes you can eat with flair.
According to Melissa Polermo, a vegan and cafe manager at Gentle Strength Co-Op, located at 234 W. University Drive, the secrets to good vegan dishes are the marinade, dressings and fresh organic vegetables. To prove her point, she is sharing some of her own recipes with SPM and you.
