Epivir (3TC) effective in treating hepatitis B

Study shows EPIVIR-HBV(R) (lamivudine) Significantly Delays Liver Complications From Chronic Hepatitis B

Study Findings:

Only 8% of lamivudine-treated patients had defined events indicating disease progression in advanced chronic hepatitis B as compared with 18% of patients receiving placebo

Hepatitis B vaccine linked to multiple sclerosis

Study Findings:

People receiving the hepatitis B vaccination had a 3x greater risk of developing MS over the following three years than those not inoculated.
