Study Findings:
- Diet supplements containing ephedrine had little effect on healthy dogs but in dogs that had their arteries artificially blocked, ephedrine had dangerous effects: their heart rates increased dramatically - fibrillation - which can kill.
- Many people have such blockages without symptoms
