MRI more effective than mammography for some women
Study Findings:
- MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging, was more effective than mammography in detecting breast cancer in women with genetic mutations (BRCA1 and BRCA2) that put them at very high risk.
- Mammography is still the most accurate option for most women.
