No, we’re not talking about the ugly, box-shaped motor vehicle, this is the brand name of one of the latest shoe crazes to hit the teenage market.
While a few years ago it seemed the bottom had fallen out of the market for slip-on shoes, someone seems to have picked things back up… perhaps the pretty designs or the fact that celebritites were wearing them made them acceptable again - it must have taken a lot; there were a few years back then where anyone caught wearing a cousin of Vans - the dreaded “slip-ons” - was instantly labelled a social outcast.
A very similar shoe to todays Vans was actually rather popular a few years back… the trends just seem to go in circles, don’t they?
