Stripes
Should 2006 be the “Year of the Zebra“? I think so.
With stripes as one of the main trends this year, stores are going overboard to accomodate the teenage love of clothes in this pattern.
However, what makes this different to many other times when stripes have been “in”, is that the traditional thinking of vertical stripes being “slimming” has been completely discarded in favour of the new style - horizontal stripes. Slimming or not, half the female tops in any given teenage fashion outlet will be adorned in stripes.
It can look good, but “slimming or not, I’ll wear it” isn’t the safest mantra if you aren’t particularly thin…
